  • Social plans among aeronautical subcontractors follow one another.

  • At AAA, whose employees were demonstrating today in France, 600 out of 1,500 jobs must be eliminated.

  • Employees believe that they do not benefit from the same support from the State as their famous client.

AAA, Derichebourg Aeronautics, Latécoère, Liebherr Aerospace, or even Sogeclair… Since the start of the health crisis which hit air transport hard, all these Airbus subcontractors have announced social plans.

In the case of the AAA company (Aeronautical and Aerospace Assistance), specializing in on-site services such as finishes for Airbus or Safran, for example, the PSE presented in July by management provided for 719 job cuts in France out of 1,500 , ie the disappearance of 45% of the workforce.

On the last day of negotiations, employees of the subcontractor demonstrated on Tuesday, along with other aeronautical employees, in front of the French sites, and in particular that of Colomiers, near Toulouse.

"We will spend a lot of time unemployed"

The number of redundancies dropped to 600 on Tuesday.

But “we can't be satisfied with that.

There are always hundreds of employees who will be made redundant, with very poor conditions for retraining, ”reacts Arnaud Robin of the CFDT.

He is convinced that management "will ensure that people leave with the legal minimum and derisory compensation".

In general, the union representative believes that "the subcontractors have been greatly sacrificed", and calls "at least" for the establishment of an agreement on long-term partial activity (APLD) like the one underway. negotiation at Airbus.

For Thierry Pingaud, another CFDT representative, sub-contractors are also sacrificed "compared to CAC 40 companies", which are the ones he receives more help from the State.

In Montoir-de-Bretagne (Loire-Atlantique), Quentin 31 years old, including seven spent at AAA, wonders how he will get by with his two young children and his credit on the house.

"Few companies are still recruiting," he said, "we already know that we are going to spend a lot of time unemployed," he anticipates.

At Colomiers, employees renamed their box on their banner: "AAA, No future assured…"
