Yesterday, the Ministry of Economy announced the launch of recall campaigns that include 5,332 vehicles from the Japanese brands "Infiniti" and "Mitsubishi" to repair manufacturing defects.

The Ministry stated that a recall campaign for "safety reasons" had started, including 1,333 cars of the "Infiniti" brand, "QX56", models for the years (2010-2012), in cooperation with the Arabian Automobiles Company and Al Masoud Motors, the distributors of "Infiniti" in the UAE.

In a report, Al-Eqtisad reported that the recall, which came after contacting the "Infiniti Middle East Company", was due to the possibility of a rupture in the driver's airbag system in some vehicles. Therefore, Infinity decided to replace the airbag units with other new parts, without The owners of these cars bear no costs.

In the same context, the Ministry announced the start of a "safety recall" campaign that includes 3,999 "TF Canter E3 and E4" trucks manufactured in 2017, 2019 and 2020, in cooperation with Al Habtoor Motors, the official agent for Mitsubishi Fuso trucks and buses. In the UAE.

The ministry explained that the recall is due to a defect in the connecting arm screws, which necessitates replacing it after the examination, in addition to a damage to the "pigtail" that delivers electricity to the dashboard, because it interferes with the brake pedal during the braking process, which requires checking the plexus and repairing looseness, or a complete replacement. Curl if needed.

Al Eqtisad assured that Al Habtoor Motors in Dubai, the Northern Emirates, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will coordinate with the Ministry to contact the dealers who have cars included in the recall, to have their vehicles repaired immediately, free of charge.

The ministry stressed that the recall campaigns come within the framework of its commitment to the continuous review of all products in the state's markets, and to provide the necessary protection for consumers from any damage that may befall them.
