Japan Post Starts "Apology Activities" for Inappropriate Insurance Sales at Post Offices Nationwide October 5, 11:31

The Japan Post Group, which has refrained from operating due to improper sales of Japan Post Insurance, began "apologizing" activities to customers on the 5th to resume operations.

The Japan Post Group began apologizing activities on the 5th to resume business, which it has been refraining from since July last year due to improper sales of Japan Post Insurance.

Of these, the Tokyo Central Post Office near JR Tokyo Station posted a poster stating, "We promise to be a company that can be trusted by giving top priority to customer satisfaction and peace of mind." We will distribute a document with apology to the customers who visit the window.

The apology activity is to start all at once at about 24,000 post offices nationwide from the 5th, and to visit the contractor's home and explain directly.

For the time being, the Japan Post Group will not actively engage in sales such as soliciting products, but will strive to restore trust by explaining measures to prevent recurrence to customers.

Wakana Kato, Deputy General Manager of the Tokyo Central Post Office Sales Department, said, "There are some harsh scolding words, and it is still a long way to restore the trust of our customers, but we would like to work together as a group."
