Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, October 5 (Reporter Wang Libin) Since the implementation of the Quality Grain Project, the central and local governments have invested more than 81.5 billion yuan, and the people’s needs for “to eat well, but also to eat well” have been continuously met.

The reporter recently learned from the State Bureau of Grain and Material Reserves that since the implementation of the Quality Grain Project, various regions have planned to deploy more than 8,900 projects in the three sub-items of the grain post-production service system, grain quality and safety inspection and monitoring system, and the "China Good Cereals and Oils" action plan; For four consecutive years, a total of nearly 21.5 billion yuan has been allocated for subsidies, which has driven local financial and social investment of more than 60 billion yuan at all levels, with a total investment of over 81.5 billion yuan.

As of the end of August, 5,828 projects have been completed, more than 4,000 grain post-production service centers have been built, more than 1,500 grain quality inspection agencies have been built and upgraded, and provinces have supported the construction of 389 "China Good Grain and Oil" demonstration counties.

It is reported that the high-quality grain project has effectively promoted the post-production loss of grain and the increase of farmers' income.

The state guides grassroots grain enterprises, farmer cooperatives, large grain farmers and other diversified entities to invigorate warehouses, build grain post-production service centers, and provide grain farmers with cleaning, drying, storage, processing, and sales services to promote grain loss.

By the end of 2020, after more than 4,000 grain post-production service centers have been completed, full coverage of major grain-producing counties across the country will be achieved, and grain loss, waste, and mildew losses in the covered areas will be reduced by an average of 4%.
