TSE resumes trading from 9 am as usual October 2, 9:02

The Tokyo Stock Exchange, which suspended trading all day due to system trouble, resumed trading as usual from 9 am.

On the morning of the 1st, TSE was unable to deliver important information such as stock prices due to a problem with some of the equipment of the core system "Arrowhead", so trading of all stocks was suspended all day.

This was the first time since May 1999, when the buying and selling of stocks was fully systematized.

Restoration work and inspections due to this trouble are completed on the night of the 1st, and transactions on the 2nd are being carried out as usual from 9 am so far.

In this system trouble, the stock exchange, which is an important infrastructure of the capital market, went down for a whole day.

Market participants are urging TSE to investigate the cause and establish a system to prevent recurrence.
