The disembarkation of former high socialist positions in the main public companies of the country continues.

The Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (Sepi) has approved proposing the appointment of the former socialist mayor of Barcelona,

Jordi Hereu,

as the new president of Hispasat.

The Government thus strengthens its control over the satellite group after the purchase of Red Eléctrica from Abertis last year.
