RM20e -

Hyundai Europe

A few months ago, the Hyundai-Kia Group joined forces with Rimac, a Croatian manufacturer specializing in electric hypercars, which has been announced as a potential buyer of Bugatti.

At the Beijing Motor Show, which runs from September 26 to October 5, Hyundai has already presented one of the results of this collaboration: the RM20e.

Under the Veloster body, hides a fully electric racing car which, thanks to its 4 motors, develops a total power of 810 horsepower!

The entire electric unit takes place in a central position, certainly offering a very good balance, and fortunately.

Because the cavalry is sent only to the rear wheels!

The Hyundai RM20e accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in under 3 seconds, while the 200 km / h is reached in 10 seconds.

The maximum speed is limited to 250 km / h.

From the circuit to the road

The Korean brand does not specify exactly what it will do with this prototype but we already know its interest in the world championship of electric touring cars, the Pure ETCR.

In addition to competition, Hyundai will take advantage of this technology as part of its deployment of 44 "green" road cars by 2025, some of which will be badged "N", equivalent to M at BMW, AMG at Mercedes or even RS at Audi.
