A production testing expert group composed of 9 experts from the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center, Hunan Rice Research Institute, Jiangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Wuhan University and other scientific research institutions, randomly located in the salt-tolerant rice planting base in Keyouzhong Banner, Xing'an League Take 3 paddy fields of about 1 mu for yield measurement.

Finally, removing impurities and water, on the saline-alkali soil with a pH of 8.8-9.6 and a salinity content of 5‰-6‰, the yield of saline-alkali-tolerant rice per mu reaches 533.95 kg.

The reporter learned that Yuan Longping’s “Yuan Meng Plan” was officially launched in 2020. In the next three years, 200,000 mu of saline-tolerant rice will be developed in Xing’an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and it will be extended to 100 million mu in China.

Yuan Longping said that this project will increase China's grain output by at least 30 billion kilograms.
