VW Golf GTE -

DR

This manufacturer is MG who, now under the Chinese flag (member of the SAIC group), has only just unveiled its second model for Europe.

But for now, MG only sells the 100% electric ZS EV, which explains why its CO2 emission quotas are… nil.

VW, which notably had to delay the launch of its fully electric ID.3, has therefore decided to buy back a right to pollute from MG, in order to avoid fines from Europe.

As a reminder, the 2020 average has been set at 95 g / km of CO2.

This is calculated, among other things, on the basis of the vehicles sold.

The method is completely legal given that the Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles group had already carried out such an operation with Tesla.
