Economic Judgment Deferred for 2 consecutive months Exports, etc. improved, but personal consumption stagnated September 24, 17:52

In this month's monthly economic report, the government said that while exports, which had fallen due to the effects of the new coronavirus, are improving, personal consumption is also stalled, and the domestic economy is "in a difficult situation, but it has been picking up recently. We have left the judgment that "there is movement" for two consecutive months.

The government compiled this month's monthly economic report at a meeting of relevant ministers on the 24th.

According to this, as demand for automobiles is recovering in the United States and the EU, "exports" are "recovering" and "corporate production" is "moving to pick up". It has been revised upward.

After leaving the conventional judgment that "employment" is "weak movement", we revised it upward by adding the expression "the movement of the number of employees etc. is also stable".

"Personal consumption" was said to be "some are stalled, but it is picking up" due to sluggish travel and eating out, and "capital investment" is also "weak movement". It has been revised downward.

Based on these, we have left the conventional judgment that the domestic economy as a whole is in a difficult situation, but there are signs of a recovery recently.

The overall economic judgment has been revised upward for two consecutive months until July, and has now been left unchanged for two consecutive months, demonstrating that the economic recovery is slowing down.
