The retail prices of major vegetables are almost normal or below normal, with lettuce retail prices declining by more than 20% compared to normal, although cabbage prices have continued to be high last month due to less rain. ..

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries checks the retail prices of eight main types of vegetables such as lettuce and cabbage every week at 470 stores nationwide, including supermarkets.

According to it, the average price of lettuce last week fell by 24% compared to normal.

Lettuce temporarily rose to 2.4 times the normal price due to lack of sunshine, but the price has been below the normal price since the beginning of this month due to the recovery of growth.

In addition, vegetables such as green onions, tomatoes, and eggplants are also priced at about the same level as normal.

On the other hand, cabbage was 25% higher than normal last month due to less rain, but it is 16% lower than the previous week.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said, "Although the price of cabbage continues to be high, it is expected that it will fall to the level of normal in the future because the shipment volume of the production area is recovering."
