Shopping tenants suffering from coronavirus will be able to ask the owner of the building to lower their rent in the future.

The National Assembly Legislative Judicial Committee voted today (23rd) to amend the Commercial Building Lease Protection Act.

In addition, the amendment stipulated that even if the rent is delayed for six months after the enforcement of the law, the tenant cannot be sent out because of that.

If the amendment is passed at the plenary meeting of the National Assembly tomorrow, it will take effect immediately after promulgation.
