"America is in the midst of the fastest economic recovery [than] since any other crisis in history," Mnuchin said in his written opening remarks to the US House of Representatives hearing.
The minister expressed confidence that the United States will see tremendous economic growth in the third quarter, supported by sustained levels of "retail trade, production growth and increased business activity."
Earlier, American leader Donald Trump promised unprecedented growth in the US economy if he is re-elected in the presidential elections in November.
