Yolanda Díaz explained that the new ERTE will consist of a system of "differential protection", which "will complicate" the negotiations with the social agents that are resumed this Wednesday, in the absence of a week before the current measures expire, in force until September 30.
The Minister of Labor has stated that this labor protection shield is going to "extend protection to the value chain and billing units", that is, it would focus on all economic activities related to the collapse of tourism and its ramifications in leisure, not in the entirety of Spanish production.
In any case, Díaz expects that the so-called regrowth ERTEs are also enabled, and has also stated that they will be available without a deadline.
In the press conference after the Council of Ministers held this Tuesday, Díaz specified: "It makes no sense that we put a deadline on a real emergency.
We are seeing it in Madrid
."
The minister has mentioned the added difficulties that arise where new restrictions on mobility are implemented, as is the case in the central region: "It is likely that as a result of what is happening in Madrid and other autonomous communities, we will have to structure another mechanism that gives way to what is happening today, since it depends on the
regulations that the Community of Madrid has
adopted and how they affect labor legislation ".
In any case, these ERTEs would not consist of a third type, but would be framed within those of regrowth, of course, adjusted to the current circumstances, as detailed from the Ministry to EL MUNDO.
The latest measures for the Community of Madrid would collide with some points of the regulations, a scenario that was going to be addressed in a meeting this Monday but that had to be suspended due to the latest negotiations for teleworking.
Díaz wanted to carry out a decree law on this matter and it has indeed been approved by the Council of Ministers this Tuesday.
