While the government is pushing ahead with the payment of the second emergency disaster support fund before Chuseok, it was estimated that 99.5% of the first emergency disaster support fund paid to all citizens by the end of last month was used within the deadline.

It was found that out of the 12 trillion won primary disaster support fund,'donations' that the government encouraged were only 2%.

Most of the people chose to consume rather than donate.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security released the results today (22nd) after analyzing the payment and use of the first emergency disaster support fund that was paid in May-August and expired until August 31st.

Of the emergency disaster support funds, the total amount of donations was 737,000, totaling 28.35 billion won.

At the time of the first disaster subsidy discussion, the government encouraged donations, saying, "If you donate the subsidy, it will be incorporated into the Employment Insurance Fund.

So, the government expected 10-20% of the total recipients to donate and raise 1 trillion won, but the actual donation amounted to about 2% of the total payment.

Meanwhile, 99.9% of the total budget was paid for the primary support fund paid in the form of card points, and it was found that it was mainly used for shopping, eating out, and hospitals.

Specifically, 26.3% of the subsidies paid by credit and debit card recharges were used in the mart and grocery industries, followed by restaurants (24.3%), hospitals and pharmacies (10.6%), gasoline (6.1%,), and clothing accessories ( 4.7%), convenience stores (4.6%), and academies (3.6%) used card recharges.
