Dubai Economy and Dubai Municipality violated 27 establishments and institutions, while they issued a warning to 49 others, for not adhering to the procedures and measures related to limiting the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19).

The Dubai Economic Department reported that it closed a playground rental yard in Al Qusais, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, and violated 10 facilities for not observing physical spacing, and for their employees not to wear masks, at a time when it warned seven other facilities, not to put stickers.

In a statement, the department stated that violations were issued that included bodybuilding gyms in the Al Karama, Al Bada and Al Quoz areas, in addition to a swimming training services facility in Al Quoz, noting that the inspection teams of the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector violated retail stores in commercial centers.

She indicated that this comes within a series of field visits to the sector, which included many open markets and commercial centers in Dubai, indicating that the number of commercial establishments that meet the conditions and precautionary measures reached 728.

She stressed that the competent authorities in the department will not tolerate the violations and abuses that are monitored or reported by the public of consumers and dealers, stressing that the disciplinary measures will be a deterrent.

In turn, Dubai Municipality closed a games area for not adhering to the necessary precautions, after the venue's management allowed a birthday party, in violation of Circular No. 60 issued by the municipality, which prohibited the holding of any events or celebrations that would gather a large number of people at the place.

The municipality revealed that it also violated 17 institutions and issued 42 warnings against other institutions, while the number of institutions that met the requirements and public safety measures reached 2,306 institutions, during 2366 monitoring visits carried out by the municipality on 19 September.
