Lovers of the great outdoors and a simple and authentic setting, the guest room is made for you.
And for good reason, since it is the inhabitant who welcomes you under his own roof.
Unlike a bed and breakfast or a tourist residence, which is in the form of an independent furnished rental, the guest room must indeed be located in the main residence, or one of its outbuildings, of your landlord.
A way to promote conviviality.
If a private individual can improvise a guest room by declaring his activity in town hall, he must however respect certain principles to stay in the nails, as recently recalled the Ministry of the Economy.
The optional meal
In charge of reception and cleaning, the owner cannot offer more than five rooms (with a surface area of at least 9 m2) nor accommodate more than fifteen people.
Are you wondering what type of service you will be entitled to during your stay?
Note that this offer is necessarily accompanied by breakfast and the supply of linens.
However, the meal remains optional.
Most of the time, the guest rooms that offer them use the name "table d'hôtes", which allows them to serve only food to the occupants lodged.
In all cases, an invoice containing all the legal information and specifying the price, taxes and services included in the service must be provided to you at the end of your stay.
