According to Car Magazine, the Volkswagen group and Rimac Automobili would have sat down to table last week to agree on the terms of the operation.

It seems VW no longer wants to invest in its low production brands and models that are not electrified.

According to some sources, the sale of Bugatti has yet to be approved by the group's supervisory board.

Specializing in the design of electric hypercars, Rimac is not unknown to VW since the group, via Porsche, holds 15.5% of the shares of this Croatian manufacturer!

It also appears that Bugatti is not the only brand in the VW group's portfolio that is for sale: Lamborghini, Seat, Italdesign and Ducati are said to be "under investigation" and it appears that the Covid-19 crisis has slowed down negotiations with potential buyers.
