The specialist also stressed that in some countries the recession caused by the pandemic will last longer than in others.

This, in turn, will exacerbate inequalities between states, as the poorest countries have more vulnerable economies.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin assessed the situation in the Russian economy during a government meeting.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the decrease in GDP in the country turned out to be less than in other states, including thanks to measures of support from the government.
