Damascus airport will be restarted next October and flights to evacuate Syrians from the UAE, Jordan and Russia

The Syrian Ministry of Transport said that the Cabinet decided to restart air traffic through Damascus International Airport in front of travelers on the first of next October, in accordance with conditions and standards that guarantee public safety.

The Ministry of Transport announced that three flights would operate on board Syrian Airlines to transport Syrians from Jordan, Russia and the Emirates during the days of September 17-20-21, noting that the flight of the United Arab Emirates was scheduled for Monday, September 21, which will take off from Damascus airport at 23:00 Damascus local time, arriving at Sharjah International Airport at 02:50 UAE time.

It should be noted that air traffic had been stopped at Damascus airport due to the precautionary measures taken by the state to prevent the spread of the "Corona" virus, and air traffic was limited only to a specific number of flights on board Syrian Airlines for the return of Syrians stranded abroad.
