The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations, José Luis Escrivá, has made statements that disavow two ministers of Podemos in two economic matters of their competence.
On the one hand, he
has denied in the Sixth that the situation in the management of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) is "unacceptable
."
That was the qualifier used on Sunday in La Vanguardia, the second vice president of the Government, Pablo Iglesias.
"It is not unacceptable, it is a success," Escrivá claimed.
He has stated that "anyone who knows well" the possibilities of the Administration in the pandemic would value the management carried out at IMV.
According to their data, of the 900,000 files received, a third has already been processed.
And of this figure,
86,000 have been granted
which, according to their calculation, benefits 260,000 people.
63,000 requests have been denied and 100,000 requests for more data.
He has avoided directly criticizing Iglesias, but has made it clear that he does not share his vision.
On the other hand,
he has also distanced himself from statements by the Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz
, against delaying the retirement age.
"The challenge in our country is to incorporate young people into the job market. Encouraging us to extend and also encourage the retirement age beyond the legal age hinders the possibility of incorporating young people," Díaz has previously stated on TVE.
"Our analysis does not validate that diagnosis. We have to look long, we are talking about 25 years forward and that is where people of working age will really fall," the minister replied when asked in the Sixth about Diaz's statement.
Escrivá has highlighted
"the challenge" posed for Social Security by the medium-term increase in the retirement
of those born in the sixties.
On the other hand, the minister shares with Díaz that
the ERTE can be extended until January 31,
to avoid a review at Christmas.
And he has confirmed, without giving details, that the aid to the self-employed that concludes this month will also be extended.
