The 150 French citizens drawn by lot to participate in the Citizens' Convention worked for nine months, leaving behind 149 proposals to fight against climate change in France.

Among them, eight measures concern the aviation sector, one of which proposes the introduction of an eco-contribution, a tax on long or short flights.

Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, Minister Delegate to the Minister for the Ecological Transition, in charge of Transport, fears "completely deleterious impacts" on Europe 1. 

"I think this tax would have quite deleterious impacts," said Jean-Baptiste Djebbari.
