"Cooperate and innovate with Chinese companies more boldly"

"I deeply feel that China is actively committed to building a platform and bridge for exchanges and cooperation in service trade for all countries, and its firm determination and confidence to vigorously promote the development of the digital economy." Listen to the speech of Chairman Xi Jinping at the China International Trade in Services Summit Later, Takeshi Tsukamoto, the general representative of Japan Electric Corporation (NEC) in China, said in an interview with our reporter.

As a global leader in the field of information and communication technology, NEC has participated in the Service Trade Fair many times.

This year, NEC brought 12 newly developed software products and solutions to the Service Trade Fair.

"Our exhibited services such as ordering services for travel to Japan, activity detection solutions, intelligent monitoring mattresses, etc. are favored by relevant Chinese companies. This service trade fair has created more opportunities for us to cooperate with Chinese companies. "Takamoto Takeshi said.

“The Service Trade Fair will help promote exchanges and cooperation in service trade between countries, form a more open and inclusive cooperation environment in the field of service trade, and nurture more new technologies in the service industry, so as to promote countries out of economic downturn and achieve economic recovery and growth.” Takeshi Tsukamoto Said that as the world's second largest economy, China's economic growth rate turned from negative to positive in the second quarter of this year, bringing hope to the global economic recovery.

During the epidemic prevention and control period, a number of new business formats and new models have become new growth points for China's economy, and the field of international cooperation has continued to expand.

"The'non-contact' services exhibited by many Chinese companies have a lot of room for cooperation with our company." Tsukamoto Takeshi said that Chinese companies exhibited many services such as robots, telemedicine, online education, and sharing platforms at the Service Trade Fair. They have not only played an important role in China’s response to the new crown pneumonia epidemic, but will also become an important force in promoting economic development in the future.

"The epidemic has had an impact on global merchandise trade, but it has also made international service trade more digital, intelligent, and networked, breaking the barriers of distance and time, and allowing countries to have closer ties in the digital economy and sharing economy," said Takeshi Tsukamoto. The development of trade in services helps countries better respond to the epidemic and promote trade liberalization and economic globalization.

Tsukamoto has been resident in China since April 2018 and has truly felt the rapid development of China's economy and the continuous improvement of the business environment.

"China is playing an increasingly important role in the new round of the rise of digital technology and playing an increasingly important role in the construction of a new economic industrial chain with the digital economy as the core." In Tsukamoto's view, China has the world's largest digital consumer market. The supportive policies of the Chinese government provide an excellent environment for enterprise innovation.

In addition, good digital infrastructure, such as the ongoing 5G construction, gives China great potential for the development of the digital industry.

NEC has been conducting various innovation experiments with Chinese companies in the China Pilot Free Trade Zone since last year.

Takeshi Tsukamoto specifically mentioned that China will establish a pilot free trade zone featuring technological innovation, open service industry, and digital economy, to build a high-level open platform for the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and drive the formation of a new pattern of higher-level reform and opening up.

He said: "This excites us and allows us to be bolder in cooperating and innovating with Chinese companies." He expects that the cooperation between Japanese and Chinese companies will bear fruit as soon as possible and be applied in the markets of Japan, China and other countries.

Tsukamoto said sincerely: "China will play a more important role in our future development. For us, China is not only a huge consumer market, but also our innovation base and an important stage for cooperation with companies from all over the world."
