After that, the German opposition Green Party called on the government to stop Nord Stream 2.

US Senator Tom Cotton also called on to stop the implementation of the project. 

As stated in the State Department, it is time for Germany to reconsider its attitude towards Nord Stream 2.

The Russian Foreign Ministry urged not to issue ultimatums on the implementation of the gas pipeline project.
