Today (8th), the government has decided to organize an emergency employment stabilization subsidy of 2 trillion won for the underprivileged.

However, there are many people who have not yet received the first emergency support fund, which they promised to give in the first half.

Reporter Kim Hye-min covered it.

Park Mo, who runs an art academy.

In June, when students fell sharply due to the coronavirus and were in high school, they applied for an emergency employment security grant.

I also received a message that the application was successful and a receipt number, but no money was paid.

[Mr. Park/Applicant for the Employment Stability Subsidy: It must be said that life is difficult.

Honestly, the attitude that I would get tired of myself was more hurtful.]

In June, the government received an application for an emergency employment security grant of KRW 1.5 million from specially employed workers, freelancers, small self-employed and unpaid leavers.

Although they initially offered to pay within two weeks of application, there are a number of people who have not received it until now, three months later.

After the application was completed, the dedicated call center disappeared, and now, inquiries can only be made through an internet cafe operated by the Ministry of Employment, but it is difficult to hear an answer.

[Mr. A/Employment Stability Subsidy Applicant: Even if you leave it at the cafe, do not view it.

Leave the National Shinmungo…

It is linked to the National Sinmungo to the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

Still, that's not possible.]

The Ministry of Employment explained that the number of applicants, which was expected to be around 1.14 million, exceeded 1.75 million, and that payment is being delayed because it is necessary to exceed the budget of 1.5 trillion and up to 1.9 trillion won.

Although the screening has been completed, the percentage paid is not accurately understood.

The first payment must be completed in a hurry to prevent it from becoming a mere'emergency' support fund, and the estimated number and budget for the second funding must be more elaborated.
