Anhui promotes post-disaster reconstruction of power grid facilities, power supply restoration rate reaches 98.5%

  Xinhua News Agency, Hefei, September 8 (Reporter Dong Xue) The reporter learned from the State Grid Anhui Electric Power Co., Ltd. that floods during the flood season caused damage to the power grid facilities in many places in Anhui. The province has made every effort to promote post-disaster reconstruction to ensure power supply.

As of the 7th, the province has repaired and restored 7 substations and more than 1,000 power supply lines in total. The power supply of 1,972,800 users has been restored, and the power supply restoration rate has reached 98.5%.

  After days of rush repairs by technicians, Chenqiaozhou in Maanshan City and County resumed power supply on the evening of the 6th.

Chenqiaozhou is located in the Yangtze River Basin and is surrounded by water. The flood season is severely flooded and the power supply has to be interrupted.

Until late August, some low-lying areas in Chenqiaozhou still had water.

  According to reports, since July, in order to ensure the safe operation of the power grid, the State Grid Anhui Electric Power Co., Ltd. has taken corresponding measures such as risk avoidance and power outages, warning isolation, etc., in accordance with the flood diversion, breakout, and urban and rural waterlogging conditions in various parts of Anhui.

Nowadays, as the flood season slows down, all parts of Anhui have stepped up their flood drainage work, and more and more areas with severe flooding like Chenqiaozhou are gradually receding, and the conditions for power transmission are restored.

  According to the relevant person in charge of State Grid Anhui Electric Power Co., Ltd., the company is promoting the post-disaster reconstruction of power grid facilities in an orderly manner in accordance with the water return situation in various regions to ensure timely restoration of electricity for production and living of the people returning home.

In the next stage, the company will also plan and construct supporting power grids in the resettlement area according to the government's water-damaged housing reconstruction or relocation plan.

  It is reported that in order to ensure power supply during the flood season, State Grid Anhui Electric Power Co., Ltd. has built a total of 3,825 kilometers of temporary power supply lines, and has provided emergency generators and large-scale mobile lighting equipment to the disaster-stricken areas.
