Etihad Airways provides international health insurance for its guests against COVID-19

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced the introduction of international health insurance against COVID-19 as part of its health and safety program.

In the event that a guest is discovered to be infected with the new Corona virus during the flight, the insurance will cover medical or quarantine expenses when traveling on Etihad Airways.

On this occasion, Senior Vice President Sales and Distribution, Etihad Airways Duncan Biru said: “The health and safety of our esteemed guests and employees is our top priority during and after the flight.


Providing international insurance against Covid-19, in partnership with AXA, is one of Etihad’s courtroom measures. Within the framework of the health and safety program led by the ambassadors of health and safety in the Union.

All tickets, regardless of the date of reservation, that are booked between now and December 31 of this year, will be included in the Covid-19 insurance.

For guests with existing reservations, they do not have to do anything, as they will be automatically included in the program.

The insurance is valid for 31 days starting from the first day of travel.
