The management of Groupe ADP (Aéroports de Paris) plans to cut up to 700 jobs in the form of voluntary departures in the face of the shock of the coronavirus pandemic on its activity, the Unsa Sapap ADP union said on Tuesday.

On the occasion of a negotiation meeting with the unions on Tuesday, the management presented a draft collective contractual termination agreement containing "voluntary departure measures which would concern up to 1,400 employees, including 700 which would not be replaced, ”says Unsa Sapap in a press release.

These positions would be "eliminated initially, pending the resumption of activity," said Laurent Garssine, secretary general of the third union of ADP.

"Unheard-of violence"

Since the summer, management has been conducting discussions with the unions with a view to adapting the economic and social model of the parent company ADP SA, which employs nearly 6,300 people.

The manager of the Paris airports wishes to negotiate a long-term partial activity agreement (APLD), a collective performance agreement (APC) and a collective contractual termination system (RCC).

According to Unsa Sapap, the collective performance agreement, which generally involves cuts in wages or an increase in working time, is "incredibly violent" and targets 59.3 million euros in savings per year.

The union wants "more transparency and fairness in these measures and a much more detailed analysis in order to conduct fair negotiations" and warns that it "will not let the management take the opportunity of this crisis to undermine social gains that have been hard won over time ”.

Contacted by AFP, the management declined to comment.

ADP's objective in negotiations to reduce the group's payroll aims to return to the green by wage cuts and "very few job cuts", had assured the group's CEO Augustin de Romanet at the end of July.
