The government will do "more than anything" to "find solutions"

Five days before the presentation, Thursday, September 3, of the recovery plan, Bruno Le Maire, however, assured that the government would do "more than anything" to "avoid these bankruptcies and find solutions". Among them, the partial long-term activity for two years, companies can reduce the working time, therefore the employee's salary and it is the State which takes part of the difference to its load.

"We rely a lot on this device," concedes for his part at the microphone of Europe 1 another leading minister. There are also secured business loans that could last longer than expected, at great rates.

"We will do our utmost to save everyone"

The fact remains that in many sectors or large companies the activity has collapsed, like the glassmaker Arc International. At the end of April, the state had already granted a loan of 31 million euros to this group specializing in tableware, which has been in difficulty for years. Bruno Le Maire expects to have to help this company again. "They need new money? We put 31 million euros. They are going to need more money probably? We will put more money," he said.
