The Paper noted that the store involved was named "Han XXX Pavilion", which mainly sold sanitary napkins, pads, diapers and other sanitary products. The homepage of the online shop of the store involved showed that the inspection report and trademark registration certificate of the relevant product were complete. Many online stores sell sanitary napkins in bulk: packaging has no production information

The Paper searched on multiple e-commerce platforms using "bulk sanitary napkins" as a key word and found that multiple sellers were selling bulk sanitary napkins at prices ranging from 8 yuan to 44 yuan. In the product introduction, most bulk sanitary napkins are simply packaged in plastic bags, and there is no production information on the packaging.

An online store that is selling bulk sanitary napkins of the "Yili" and "Xiaoshuang" brands posted product pictures on the relevant product display page, showing that the bulk sanitary napkins sold by this store are packaged in cardboard boxes with a thick inner layer. There is no product production information for bag packaging. According to the customer service staff, the aforementioned bulk sanitary napkins are genuine sanitary napkins returned from shopping malls and supermarkets, and the quality is guaranteed. These bulk sanitary napkins are internally packaged and have a shelf life of about one and a half years.

Another online store claiming to be a Wenzhou distributor of Xiaoshuang sanitary napkins claimed to sell 100-piece sanitary napkins of the brand with a size of 245mm at a price of 22.8 yuan. The Paper noted that there is no production information on the outer packaging of bulk sanitary napkins sold in the store.

The aforementioned seller stated that they are selling products that are processed after brand packaging is damaged, "the same as those sold in supermarkets." The current selling price is "loss price", and the production cost of a single sanitary napkin is about 20 cents. "It only costs 50 cents to buy an extended night-use version, and the daily cost is about 20 cents."

When asked if there is any difference between the aforementioned sanitary napkins and well-known brand products, the store responded that “the seven-degree space, Sophie will definitely be better than this”, “the cost is also high, and the brand is expensive”, and suggested: “concerns If there are too many brands, don’t worry.”

Another online store seller stated that the bulk sanitary napkins sold are all direct sales from the factory, but there is no brand. "Many sanitary napkins are obtained from manufacturers", "except that we are not listed, the product quality is very good."

The seller stated that the bulk sanitary napkins are “taken directly from the manufacturer, and the manufacturer has a batch number”. However, the seller did not provide relevant production qualification certificates.

A store that "specializes in the production of sanitary napkins" in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province claimed to be able to process custom-made pure cotton sanitary napkins, with prices ranging from 0.11 yuan to 0.22 yuan per piece. The store said, “It depends on what quality you make. A dime or two cents (sanitary napkins) is the most common. If you order a better one, it depends on the brand. It can be processed for the brand.

Regarding the hygienic quality of the product, the store said, "We have an inspection report."

The Paper noted that the price of 100 sanitary napkins ranged from 8 yuan to 22 yuan in another shop that wholesales sanitary napkins. According to the store, the aforementioned sanitary napkins are directly obtained from the factory and have a shelf life of two years. The product photos provided by the store show that the aforementioned products are in transparent packaging with product information on the packaging. A sanitary license for disinfection product manufacturers covered by the Linyi Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission shows that the production categories include tissues (paper), sanitary napkins, sanitary pads, and diapers. According to the seller, “the quality of sanitary napkins is basically the same as that of the big brands, but the packaging is different. This one comes in a pack of 50 pieces and 100 pieces.”

According to the official website of the National Health Commission, the "Sanitary Standards for Disposable Sanitary Products" shows that women's menstrual sanitary products (including sanitary pads) are disposable sanitary products. The aforementioned standards stipulate that product identification should comply with the "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China", and the implemented sanitary standard number, production date and shelf life (validity period) or production batch number and limited use date should be marked on the product packaging.

Doctor: If the quality is unqualified, it will easily lead to gynecological inflammation

Regarding the use of bulk sanitary napkins, many sellers said that customers buy sanitary napkins for personal use during the menstrual period of adults, but also for other purposes. "There are not many for pets."

The Paper News reporter observed the evaluation of the use of bulk sanitary napkins and found that, in addition to being used for menstrual periods, some customers said that bulk sanitary napkins were bought for pets. In an online store that sells bulk sanitary napkins, a netizen posted a photo of a dog using sanitary napkins in the "Baby Evaluation" on the product purchase page, with the text "Dogs at home are everywhere... listen." My pet friend suggested to use this instead, six tablets a day, which is too cheap." Another netizen commented, “I bought it for Guinea pigs and come back when I use them up.”

A senior gynecologist told The Paper that the suitability of sanitary napkins for human use depends on whether it meets the standards. Bulk sanitary napkins are more prone to problems of unqualified quality, which leads to gynecological inflammation and other diseases in users.

Lawyer Ding Jinkun from Shanghai Dabang Law Firm pointed out that it is a market behavior for sellers to sell bulk sanitary napkins on e-commerce platforms. If the quality of the products sold is qualified and there is demand in the market, there is nothing wrong with it. If the bulk sanitary napkins sold are "three no products" and violate the "Product Quality Law", they should be removed from the shelves.
