Japan Display Factory in Ishikawa Sold to Sharp and Apple August 28, 8:53

Japan Display, a liquid crystal panel maker that is rebuilding its business, has decided to sell its suspended Hakusan factory in Ishikawa Prefecture to major electronics manufacturer Sharp and US IT giant Apple.

The Hakusan Factory is a factory that produces LCD panels for Apple in the United States, and will sell the site and buildings of the factory sharply for approximately ¥41.2 billion.

It also means that some of the production facilities in the factory, including those already sold in March, will be sold to Apple for a total of approximately 30.1 billion yen.
