Etisalat uses its capabilities to support remote services

Etisalat has affirmed on harnessing its network capabilities and infrastructure in the telecommunications sector to support remote services that have become more popular, including support for government agencies, the business sector, and individuals to continue work and education remotely.

The Vice President for Organizational Affairs, Strategy and Corporate Governance at Etisalat Group, Engineer Rayan Al Hashemi, who participated in the Virtual Forum, referred to the flexible response enjoyed by the UAE in general, and the advanced infrastructure of the Etisalat network in the country, which contributed to Enabling the shift towards remote services without any influencing factors.

Al-Hashemi said that “Etisalat” was keen to support all sectors of the state during the period of the “Corona” pandemic, including individuals and the business sector, to ensure business continuity and distance education, pointing out that the “Etisalat” network witnessed, between February and May of this year. A significant increase in data traffic, which reached more than 300% in virtual meeting applications, and an increase of more than 500% in the use of games on the Internet, while the percentage of video applications and entertainment content usage increased by more than 90%.
