Last year, 18 residents of a Gosiwon in the metropolitan area won the subscription for nearby apartments.

However, no one actually lived in Gosiwon.

In order to obtain priority for local residents in this area apartment subscription, the owner of Gosiwon paid money and moved in disguise.

In some cases, they reached out to people with disabilities and national merit aiming for the subscription lotto.

A representative of a disabled group approached with a broker saying that he would give 13 people a chance to earn money, including people with disabilities and national merit.

By borrowing their names, they signed up for a special apartment supply and won, and afterwards, they took advantage of the profits through resale.

A private business in the medical industry received a loan of 2.6 billion won from a savings bank saying that he would buy medical equipment, and then bought a 7 billion won apartment in Gangnam, Seoul.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport has verified over 1,700 suspicious cases among expensive housing transactions of 900 million won or more, and has detected 800 illegal acts such as expedient gifting, tax evasion, violation of loan regulations, and title trust.

The police, which has been conducting a special crackdown on the real estate market for 100 days from the 7th, also cracked down on 823 people, including reconstruction and corruption in the redevelopment union.

We plan to further tighten the reins of the crackdown by organizing 11 special investigation teams in 8 regional offices including the overheated district.
