Lucid Air - DR

We thought that nothing would filter from Lucid Motors before the official unveiling of the Air scheduled for September 10. We were wrong! The Californian manufacturer, future major competitor of Tesla, has made a new announcement: its sedan will claim charging times never seen before.

Lucid Air - DR

His secret? A 900 V architecture allowing it to accept recharges up to a power of 350 kW. Until then, Porsche and Tesla had led the dance with 800V systems that could respectively tolerate charging powers of 270 and 250 kW.

Concretely, this means that the Lucid Air will be able to recover some 482 km of range in just 20 minutes, via the appropriate network. But here is the problem: to date, very few stations will allow this rate of recharging. However, major players in the field, like Ionity for example, are already on the ball.

The first production version of the Lucid Air will be unveiled at a digital exhibition on September 10.
