Lunaz Rolls-Royce Phantom V - DR

Specialized in the conversion of old cars to electricity, the firm Lunaz has just presented its latest project: a Rolls Royce Phantom V from 1961. Completely restored, it is equipped with a substantial 120 kWh battery which gives it a range of 482 km.

By the way, the car's electrical system is completely updated, allowing it to adopt modern components such as more efficient air conditioning or a state-of-the-art audio system. Brakes and suspensions are also suitable. Totally customizable, this Rolls starts at € 558,000.

Lunaz also markets a revised and corrected version of the Silver Cloud. Available from “only” € 391,000, it will have the same autonomy as its big sister, but with an 80 kWh battery. Only 30 examples of these English watches will be built.

We think what we want from electric conversions of vintage cars, but this one is in our opinion the most sensible that we have seen. First, because electrifying an already built car is actually less polluting than building a new electric car. Then because the Phantom V is not a car of inestimable value that we ruin by transforming it.
