was found that sales of shaved ice, a major summer dessert in the food service industry, declined compared to previous years as the prolonged Corona 19 and the long rainy season overlapped this summer.

On the contrary, it is pointed out that the dessert market is also polarized because the expensive hotel bingsu, which costs more than 50,000 won, is rather sold as if it is winged.

Sales of summer-limited shaved ice products introduced by major domestic franchises in July and August decreased at the same time.

This is because the long rainy season accompanied by heavy rains only ended in mid-August, and most of July-August, the'highest season' of shaved ice, passed by inclement weather.

However, the situation is different in the hotel industry.

The season product Apple Mango Bingsu, which is being sold by the Shilla Seoul Hotel since the end of April, has a long line of customers this summer even though it costs more than 50,000 won.

Unlike last year, the Shilla Seoul Hotel has not sold shaved ice on weekends this year, but it is said that the average daily sales in July increased more than 20% compared to the same period last year.

Lotte Hotel also said that in June and August of this year, Lotte Hotel Seoul and Jeju saw a 20% increase in shaved ice sales compared to the same period last year, and Signiel Seoul increased more than 10% during the same period.
