Yen price drop against the dollar 18:16 on August 20
On the 20th, the Tokyo foreign exchange market and the yen exchange rate fell against the dollar.
The yen exchange rate as of 5 pm was JPY 106.2 to JPY 3 per dollar, which is 60 yen weaker than the 19th.
On the other hand, against the euro, the euro was weaker by 17 yen compared to the 19th, from 1 euro = 125.66 yen to 70 yen.
The euro was 54 dollars per euro = 1.1852 dollars.
Market officials said, "The dollar was bought against a wide range of currencies in the view that the US is not willing to take additional easing. The index is drawing attention."
