The Ganshen high-speed rail is an important part of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed rail. It starts from Ganzhou West Station in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province in the north, passes through Heyuan City, Huizhou City and Dongguan City in Guangdong Province, and finally arrives at Shenzhen North Station in Shenzhen. The total length of the line is 436.37 kilometers, and the design speed is It is 350 kilometers and has 14 stations on the whole line. Among them, Jiangxi is about 134.5 kilometers. In addition to Ganzhou West Station, there are 3 new stations in Xinfengxi, Longnandong and Dingnanxi.

It is understood that the Longnan Tunnel, which is constructed and managed by the Changjiu Intercity Railway Company and undertaken by the China Railway 16th Bureau Group, is a key and difficult control project for the entire Ganshen high-speed rail line and a first-level high-risk tunnel. It is located in Quannan County and Longnan, Ganzhou, Jiangxi. Within the city, a total length of 10.24 kilometers, the entire tunnel crosses 12 fault fracture zones, with poor geological conditions and high safety risks.

In order to ensure the orderly progress of project construction, Longnan Tunnel has two inclined shafts, which are excavated in sections to realize the "long tunnel and short drilling". The entire tunnel is divided into 5 working faces to carry out construction operations simultaneously; to create a "smart construction site" and fully implement mechanized supporting facilities For construction, complete sets of equipment such as three-arm rock drilling rigs, wet spray manipulators, and fully hydraulic self-propelled inverted arch trestle are equipped to improve construction efficiency.

In view of the characteristics of the poor geology of the surrounding rock of the tunnel, advanced geological forecasting is adopted to master the geology and hydrology of the surrounding rock. At the same time, ultra-polymer escape pipes and tunnel construction rescue capsules are used in tunnel construction to provide construction personnel with "life support channels."

The railway department said that after the completion of this railway, it will connect with Changgan High-speed Railway, Ganruilong, Ganshao and other railways in the north, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway, and Hangzhou-Shenzhen line in the south. It will be the main channel connecting Jiangxi to the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area". After the opening of the Ganshen high-speed rail to traffic, the train time from Ganzhou to Shenzhen will be reduced from the current 7 hours to 2 hours, and the entire high-speed rail journey from Shanghai to Shenzhen will be realized. It is of great strategic significance to alleviate the transportation pressure of the Nanchang-Shenzhen section of the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, promote the deep integration of the two places of Jiangxi and Guangdong, and play the role of economic radiation in the Pearl River Delta region.
