China-Singapore Jingwei Client, August 17 According to the Beijing Municipal Emergency Management Bureau website, in recent years, with the widespread use of smart phones, some gas stations have used mobile phones to scan codes for payment, which poses security risks.

In order to further strengthen the safety management of the city's refueling stations and prevent safety accidents, in accordance with relevant national laws, regulations and standards, it is strictly forbidden to use mobile phones such as scanning codes in the refueling and gas operation area. If you need to use a mobile phone, you should do it in the station room or auxiliary service area. It is strictly forbidden to carry out various propaganda behaviors that can easily guide customers to use mobile phones in the refueling operation area.

Violations of the provisions of this notice will be dealt with in accordance with laws and regulations.

Why is it risky to use a mobile phone at a gas station?

Since mobile phones and other mobile communication tools have been widely used by the public, domestic gas stations have included them in the "quarantine" category. "China Petroleum Gas Station Management Regulations" Chapter 4 Section 4 Safety Prohibition Article 7 clearly stipulates that it is strictly forbidden to use communication tools at refueling sites and tank farms.

The mobile phone is a kind of radio communication tool. The radio wave (radio frequency electromagnetic radiation) emitted by the radio transmitter can make the antenna receiving the radio generate radio frequency current.

When the radio frequency current circulates between metal conductors, if there is rust or poor contact, radio frequency sparks will be generated. As long as the radio frequency sparks last for more than one microsecond and the energy is greater than 6 milliwatts, it will ignite the mixture of methane and air.

When the gas station fills the fuel tank of a car or motorcycle with gasoline through a fuel gun, the fuel vapor in the original empty fuel tank floats outwards, and the newly injected gasoline also volatilizes into the air, causing the fuel vapor density around the refueling vehicle to increase sharply.

At the same time, in order to make the communication signal clearer, mobile phones use a high frequency and a relatively strong transmission power. Although they meet national standards, they still pose a threat to refueling and gas stations.

Earlier, the media interviewed a gas station staff member who stated that the current tanker already has a device for oil and gas recovery, which will not produce oil and gas accumulation, but it may produce a certain amount of oil and gas due to occasional mistakes. When the mobile phone is connected to the signal, a certain radio frequency spark or energy may be generated, and this energy is enough to cause the combustion and explosion of oil and gas.

Many places prohibit the use of mobile phone scan code payment in restricted areas of gas stations

It is understood that some domestic cities such as Nanjing, Suzhou, Luoyang and other places have stopped using mobile phones to make payments in fueling areas. And Sinopec Beijing Petroleum and China Petroleum Beijing Sales are also promoting the automatic deduction of online order systems, as well as safer payment methods such as in-car payment and indoor code scanning.

Will the one-click refueling behavior of the mobile APP be also prohibited? According to the Beijing Daily, the "one-click refueling" payment method, which is automatically deducted by the online order system, is still available.

Sinopec Beijing Petroleum once said that gas stations are currently promoting one-click gas and gas card payment methods, and there is no mobile scan code payment channel. Different from the on-site scan code payment, one-click fueling orders are placed directly from the APP line, which can be realized before entering the station. The owner will directly deduct the payment from the system after filling in the station, and no other operation procedures are required. This payment method is convenient and safe, and can also be contactless and avoid cross-infection. In addition, PetroChina Beijing Sales also stated that the main push is to pay for refueling without getting off the car, and the scan code payment must be done indoors. (Zhongxin Jingwei APP)
