There are 1,658 Grade-Class, 4888 Three-star, 2550 Four-star and 845 Five-star.
According to the "Statistical Report on National Star-rated Hotels in 2019" recently released by the Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in 2019, the operating data of 8,920 star-rated hotels passed the review by the provincial cultural and tourism administration. Among them, Guangdong Province has 586, the number ranked first in the country; Zhejiang Province and Shandong Province ranked second and third respectively.
Statistics show that for the whole year of last year, the total operating income of star-rated hotels nationwide was 190.77 billion yuan, of which room revenue accounted for 42.49% and catering revenue accounted for 38.19%.
According to the report, according to the registration type, 2115 are state-owned star-rated hotels, accounting for 21.16%; there are 204 foreign-invested star-rated hotels, accounting for 2.04%.
It is reported that the number of employees in star-rated hotels nationwide in 2019 was 1.0616 million, of which about 210,000 had a college degree or above.
