Developers from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places wanted to invest in real estate here and made attractive promises, but Yidu was not tempted and declined one by one. Yidu reached a consensus: "This is the urban window and ecologically sensitive area of Yidu at the intersection of eastern Sichuan and western Hubei. If there is no good project, I would rather leave it alone in the sun."
It was not until 2017 that Hubei Trading Group signed a contract with Yidu to invest 10.7 billion yuan to build the Sanjiang Kangyang New City. This piece of land that had been silent for many years was reopened.
But Yidu puts forward two conditions: if you want to develop, first spend 700 million yuan on environmental protection. According to Xiang Qing, the general manager of Hubei Communications Investment Sanjiang Cultural Tourism Development Company, Yidu requires us to invest 700 million yuan before development to rehabilitate the Yangtze River coastline and build sewage and garbage treatment facilities. Another "strict" condition is that real estate cannot be established on the island. Trade Cultural Tourism invited a world-class planning company to design the overall plan. If it is an ordinary real estate development, 50,000 people can live here, but the plan proposed by Huatou Cultural Tourism is that the permanent population is only 5,000.
Today, Sanjiang Kangyang New City has been upgraded to Sturgeon Bay Cultural Tourism Industrial Park, Yidu. With the theme of "World Sturgeon Bay·Central China Health Island", construction was launched in June 2019. The planned area is 3.3 square kilometers, divided into four During the first phase of construction, the Yangtze River and Qingjiang immersive cultural districts "Sturgeon Water Street", the characteristic homestay "Sturgeon Dragon Green Valley" and other cultural, tourism and wellness themed projects will be built. It is expected to be completed and opened to the outside world in 2021.

The director of the rehabilitation hospital Guo Hongwei said that the project has an investment of 150 million yuan and is the only secondary rehabilitation hospital in southwest Hubei. It has been in operation for two years and can accommodate 400 elderly people at the same time. "The hospital has first-class hardware facilities.
