Let's listen to the story of Geum-soon, a 58-year-old woman living in Daegu.
Geum-soon, a door-to-door salesman, commonly referred to as'Ajumma Yakult', was infected with Corona 19 in February. It was around the time when the group infection of corona patients was exploding in Daegu.

After hard work, he was discharged after finishing treatment in March. There was no job for Aunt Yakult, who the Supreme Court said'I'm not a worker'. The company just told me to rest. But she needed jobs and income. Because I had to pay interest.

What does this house mean to her? I wondered why this house was sold for sale.

● My body hurts even if I don't hit it... .

In order to live comfortably apart from her husband, Geum-soon signed a contract with Dine Royal Palace officetel in Dongsung-ro. Although its name is an officetel, it was a residential officetel called'Apatel' with an exclusive area of ​​47 square meters and a duplex house that is quite livable.

"I want to live a little separately. My uncle knows only his parents. He only cares for his brothers. I signed a contract for it because I wanted to have a room for the kids."

My husband, who was a good son and a good elder brother, was a person he could not understand.

"I'm sick of my body even if I'm not beaten at this age... Why do I have to live while I'm being beaten? My uncle works hard, but I work hard, but I drink 360 days out of 365 days. I always get into the house because alcohol becomes rice cake, so I feel like myself. No matter how much you try to live with this dirty, you're going to live with you, but I earned you and pay for your side dishes, and you're living like that, and you're living like that! Don't tell me, don't hate dad because you're harmful."

"Why didn't you (report)? I did. I did it five times. The kids report it. Honestly, what would I do if I came out, what would I do? From the old days, I took the kids out, went back in, and repeated that a few times.


Mr. Geum-soon said he thought of his children and did not think of divorce. But now that the children are full, she is preparing for divorce. Recently, it is said that her husband was punished for reporting to the police for domestic violence. However, money scarier than her husband is why Geum-soon is still reluctant to file a divorce.

"So, I ran out of my life. Is there any place to go. Do you have money. There is no lawsuit fee, and I want to get a divorce by agreement. I knelt down on the road this time and prayed. Please ask me for a divorce. I think I have the only way to live."

For Mr. Geum-soon, Dine Royal Palace seemed like an opportunity to obtain unreachable happiness with money in hand.


● "It looks like you're going to die just paying your debts."

As a door-to-door salesman, Mr. Geum-soon has spent the last three years working without a break for a day and devoted the money he collected to the sale of Dyne Royal Palace in Dongseong-ro. According to the contract, this is the house you should have already moved in last year. Geum-soon, who couldn't return to her husband and didn't even have a deposit to get a rented room, lives in a rental house of an elderly mother in her 90s suffering from dementia.

"I forcibly fell asleep for only 2 hours and 3 hours, and then I can only sleep like this for 2 hours and 3 hours. When I fall asleep after worrying all night, I wake up at 6 o'clock by the sound of my mother's curse."

Geum-soon remembers the day when he first heard that Dine Construction had stopped construction.

"Last year, the building had to go up, but why didn't it go up... I did, but in January, I was told to pay interest and contacted me. When I asked how much interest, I told him to pay 700,000 won, so I don't understand that either. They all decided to bet and wrote a contract."

The developer made a loan in the name of the couple, and received it all at once. As the flow of funds from other construction sites began to be blocked due to unreasonable business expansion, it seems to be a way to draw money for construction. Instead, the contractor agreed to pay all the interest on the loan. Then, as the financial situation became extremely bad, the situation ended up not being able to pay the intermediary payment interest, and financial institutions began to rush interest to the constituents. It is estimated that there are over 5,000 generations such as Daegu as well as Busan and Yangsan.


Geum-soon cannot do this or that. To get out of this pain, many people demanded to terminate the contract, but the developer is not returning most of the down payments already paid and the intermediate payments already borrowed.

"If there is a way to give up the intermediate payment, I really want to give up the down payment. How long do we have to pay only interest? There is no hell because I think we have to pay only interest until we die. I don't think I bought that wrong. I have been living like this and I only have the thought of dying because I want to do something. In this situation, if I keep looking at the interest rate, I have to pay off my real debt until I die."

Wouldn't it have to pay her every month?

"If I can't pay interest, I can't pass it on to my children later... I think.... I'm most worried that this will be passed on to the kids. Even if it wasn't for that interest, I wouldn't have to voice phishing."

Mr. Geum-soon, a swamp of crime who lost his job while looking for a job , transferred his daily job to repay his living expenses and interest incurred every month. However, Corona 19 left a bigger scar on Geum-soon than expected.

"After Corona 19 healed, my muscle pain is so severe. I went to the garlic field to go to work. I had no shade and worked in the sun for 8 hours and 9 hours all day, but when I came, I couldn't walk. I worked a day, but I worked for a week. Then I was taken to the emergency room, but I was told to just leave the hospital because of Corona 19. I couldn't eat anything and kept vomiting. But I did it because I wanted to pay some interest to do that, but now I can't do that. ."

A text message came in recommending a part-time job to Mr. Geum-soon. It was a simple task to receive the debt and send it to the bank. I believed that it was usually done by people who retired from banking. A simple task of receiving and depositing money. And Mr. Geum-soon was arrested by the police.

"I'm running errands, so why am I doing this. I only took the money and made a deposit to the bank, but what did I do wrong..."

Who laughs at the Korean police as a cotton bat? To Mr. Geum-soon, the police officer of the Daegu North Police Station was like King Yeomla.

"I told the police about everything that happened. I didn't know, I didn't want to know. The policeman screamed and made me take my tears out. I told him to eat and live, but I asked him to see it once." He said he can't believe all of our words."

The case of Geum-soon, who was arrested as a current criminal, was sent to the prosecution and investigation continues. Mr. Geum-soon is afraid of money this time and has not been able to appoint a lawyer. I am worried about when to start using a lawyer and how to pay the fees.

"I didn't know... If it seemed that I had all the money in the middle, I would pay a fine or ask me to live in prison, but I couldn't earn 1 million won, and what's this? I wouldn't have done it if it weren't for interest. "

● "I should have had a son…."

These days, Mr. Geum-soon has obtained a public job and is cleaning the streets. It is relatively easy and pays about 1 million won per month. So, Mr. Geum-soon plans to endure. The issue of Dine Construction's suspension of construction remains unchanged even after Geum-soon's case was reported. The alarm still rings from time to time in the victims' meeting band, but it is difficult because it is complicated and the story is different.

However, she still lives in the house of an elderly mother in her 90s who suffers from dementia, and she has to swear every day, worry about where to go out and live, and she cannot eat well and is sick. I don't have a job, but I have to pay my interest monthly. In the irresponsibility of the construction company, all the money she has saved is lying under the suspended construction site, and politics and administration have no plans to help her.

This pain doesn't seem to end, and Geum-soon cannot figure out how to get out of it.
