Hyperion HP-1 - DR

The XP-1 is an electrically powered hypercar capable of killing 0-100 in just over 2.2 seconds, clocking 355 km / h and with a range of… 1,000 miles, or some 1,600 km. And no, it is not weighted with a ton of batteries.

Hyperion HP-1 - DR

Because this is a fuel cell car, equipped with carbon hydrogen tanks and supercapacitors which replace the usual lithium-ion batteries. Between that and its carbon and titanium structure, the Hyperion HP-1 weighs only 1032 kg empty, very far from the 2 tons and more of electric supercars, real or fantasized. And to help even a little bit, the black curve you see running from the back of the roof to the front wheels is actually covered in solar panels.

Hyperion plans to produce 300 units, starting in 2022. Aware that refueling could obviously be a problem, the company also plans to develop a hydrogen distribution network in the United States, much like Tesla did. for its network of "super-chargers". Knowing this, one can only wish for a similar journey, namely that a pioneering company paves the way for the development of the hydrogen car, as only Hyundai and Toyota currently offer.
