With 421 hp and 900 Nm of torque under the hood, the Volkswagen Touareg V8 TDI was not really lacking in resources. But now, after Dieselgate and the general disenchantment for this fuel that followed, combined with European restrictions on CO2 emissions, this engine is forced to go by the wayside in favor of a rechargeable hybrid gasoline engine.
As a farewell, VW is marketing a special series of the Toureg V8 TDI naturally called the V8 Last Edition. Reserved for the German market only and limited to 400 copies, it will be based on the R-Line finish and will feature, among other things, specific logos. Its base price is set at 104,361 €.
