CCTV News: The China Transportation Production Index (CTSI) released today (13th) by the Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport showed that the decline in transportation production continued to narrow in July, the freight index maintained steady growth, and the passenger transportation index recovered more than 60% for the first time.

  In July, China's Transportation Production Index CTSI was 157.0 points, a year-on-year decrease of 11.1%. As the epidemic prevention and control situation stabilizes, and economic operations have basically resumed, the CTSI freight index was 185.7 points, an increase of 3.8% year-on-year, and the overall continued steady development trend, maintaining positive growth for the third consecutive month; the CTSI passenger transport index was 103.6 points, year-on-year A drop of 39.9%, indicating that the degree of recovery exceeded 60% for the first time. China's transportation production index is weighted and synthesized with the basic indicators of railway, highway, waterway, and civil aviation passenger and freight volume, and comprehensively reflects the overall operation of the transportation industry. The index consists of a comprehensive index and two sub-indexes of passenger and freight.
