Dubai Economy launches a new e-services package for traders and dealers

The commercial control and consumer protection sector in the "Dubai Economy" launched a package of new electronic services for merchants and dealers alike, in an effort by the sector to provide the best services, facilitate the mechanism of access and benefit from the services provided to them on a 24-hour basis and enhance the safe and stimulating economic environment for growth.

The service of submitting an objection request to violations issued on commercial licenses has been launched, in addition to inquiries, payment of fines, and a list of inspection reports registered on the commercial license.

The Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector developed these services, so that they are provided and obtained by the customer, remotely, and through the consumer protection website without the need to visit service delivery centers, in line with the directions of the Dubai government regarding the continuous development and improvement of electronic services and systems, And making it available to customers through smart platforms, without the need for the customer to be present in the service centers, in addition to supporting Dubai's paperless strategy, which aims to build a paperless future in 2021.

Abdullah Al Kaabi, Director of Development and Follow-up Department in the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector, stressed the role of the sector and Dubai’s economy in general, in supporting traders and dealers, and keenness to provide the best services to customers, which reflects the objectives and aspirations of the Dubai government, and these services are considered complementary to the series of services launched by Economist Dubai, represented by the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector, to support and serve customers.

These services also come at a time when the commercial control and consumer protection sector in the department has expanded its consumer protection services to include free zones in the Emirate of Dubai, which enable consumers to raise their complaints and inquiries to Dubai Economy, and resolve them amicably.

It is noteworthy that the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector was able to provide all the main services during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic, which required employees to work remotely, and this explains the efforts of the department, supporting the senior management for continuous development and improvement, and providing advanced electronic systems, which contributed to the success of the strategy Working remotely, facing the current situation and its repercussions, and the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector works on a detailed analysis of the current situation, before undertaking any development or improvement on procedures and services, taking into account the opinions of all concerned, and studying the journey of the customer from its beginning to its end, with the aim of Developing and finding the best technical solutions to ensure the quality and efficiency of services, which contributes to achieving the highest levels of customer and employee satisfaction.
