Al-Eqtisad: Maintenance will be free of charge to the owners of the affected cars

Yesterday, the Ministry of Economy launched new recall campaigns that included 14,297 cars of the brands "Mitsubishi", "Nissan" and "Infiniti", to correct manufacturing defects.

The Ministry stated that the first recall campaign includes 11,48 Mitsubishi Pajero cars, models for the years 2017 and 2018, in cooperation with Al Habtoor Motors Ltd., the official agent for Mitsubishi cars in the UAE.

Al-Eqtisad explained that the campaign came as a result of the poor welding method of the lower cuff of the front suspension, which could lead to the separation of the welding and breakage of the suspension while using the car. She confirmed that all repairs related to the recall campaign will be provided free of charge, pointing out that «Al Habtoor Motors» will communicate with the owners of the affected cars to coordinate the immediate repair schedules for their vehicles.

The Ministry of Economy also announced a special recall campaign, which includes 3249 cars of the brand "Nissan Maxima" model years 2016-2018, "Nissan Pathfinder" model years 2017-2019, and "Infiniti QX60" model years 2017-2019, in cooperation with the Arab company For cars, and Al Masoud Motors, distributors of Nissan and Infiniti in the UAE.

And indicated, in a report issued, that the campaign that came after communicating with «Nissan / Infinee Middle East» came to the possibility of an internal leakage of oil in the trigger of the anti-lock brake system, which may light up continuously, in some cases, with the possibility of High temperature, and the appearance of smoke due to a possible factory defect in the system driver.

The ministry pointed out that Nissan decided to replace the system operator with the latest modifier, free of charge.
