The Dubai Economic Department, in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, launched a “program to effectively revitalize the wheel of the economy”, as part of efforts to reshape the emirate’s economy, and to retool it to become more active, sustainable and resilient, including also the future after the pandemic “Covid -19 ». The program will include analysis of current and future policies, careful research, and extensive consultations with stakeholders, to determine the direction and style of policies, regulations, and future economic initiatives.

Dubai Economy explained that as part of its initiative: COVEXIT to enhance joint action, move to the recovery phase, and reshape the economy in its new normal, the program will aim to harness the collective knowledge of local and international experts, to enhance awareness of the pandemic caused by the pandemic, in addition to a proposal Solutions for economies and societies alike.

The program also comes, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to government agencies on the need to think and plan for the post-Covid-19 phase, and the speed of transformation and transition to a new normal.

The Dubai Economy indicated that, as a first step, experts and thought leaders from around the world are meeting in the "Virtual Policy Council", to discuss the implications and the continuing effects of the "Covid-19" pandemic on various aspects of the economy.

The Executive Director of the Institutional Strategic Affairs Sector in the Dubai Economy, Mohamed Sha'el Al Saadi, said that the series of workshops of the Council will not be limited to post-epidemic solutions, but will continue to provide communication opportunities, for available and possible cooperation to help Dubai to face the present and future, and beyond "Covid-19" " Confidently.
