The purpose of the competition is to promote the development of China's machinery industry and demonstrate the spirit of the Chinese manufacturing brand.

  This competition is jointly sponsored by China Machinery Industry Enterprise Management Association and Jilin Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, and undertaken by China FAW Group.   This time the division into 7 major competition areas across the country, namely, the Northeast Division undertaken by FAW Group, the North China Division undertaken by Weichai Group, the Northwest Division undertaken by Shaanxi Group, the Central China Division undertaken by Anhui Forklift Group, and East China Division undertaken by Shanghai Highly Electric.
