In the first half of this year, the amount of money that could have been torn or burned amounted to 2.7 trillion won. It's more than last year, but because of concerns about corona infections, there were times when banknotes were washed in a washing machine or in a microwave.

are 50,000 won bills that have been stained and soaked in water.

Mr. A, who lives in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, was put money in a washing machine and turned it into a washing machine.

Damaged currencies discarded during the first half of this year amounted to 3,457 million, or 2.73 trillion won.

Compared to last year, the number of longevity has increased by 500,000, and the amount has increased by 420 billion won.

All of them were replaced by new ones directly at the banks of the Bank of Korea without going through a financial institution, with a total of 23.6 million copies and 6,250 million won, up 2.4 billion won from last year.

Even if you accidentally damage the bill, if the remaining area is more than 75%, the face value will be replaced with new money.

If between 40% and 75%, half of the original amount can be replaced with new money.

If less than 40% remains, it is not eligible for exchange.
